The empowerment of women is one of the key drivers of human progress. That is not just a feel good statement, I highly recommend Steven Pinker's The Better Angels of Our Nature where a lays out a strong argument for this.

Thanks for highlighting these amazing women. I am so sorry to hear that Flying Officer Marium was killed.

  5. It is good to celebrate women's contributions to the world. We are having a problem with extremism in the United States. Hopefully, it will be squelched. New generations forget why the early ones rejected these notions long ago.

    1. Thank you dear Ann!

Extremism is newly designed weapon to use it against certain nations to destroy their image in the world and with this to achieve some personal goals .

Man is while doing this forgets that he can't make NATURE LOOSE.
He can make dirty policies but there is END FOR EACH BEGINNING.

I believe that Extremism has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY PARTICULAR NATION .and i am sure that REAL EDUCATED PEOPLE WILL FIND THE WAY OUT FROM THIS TIMELY BLACK HOLE.
AND WORLD WILL RUN THE DIVINE RULE OF NATURE. LOVE ,RESPECT AND SHEARING

I though i know that lots of my country fellow live in your part of land still i think that western and American people know very less about Pakistan i wish being inhabitants of one plane we should know each other more to squeeze the distance between hearts created by politicians who are using the media to achieve their false benefits.

I will try my best to make it happen my friend!

  11. Baili, this is one of your best posts! I love it. These are all incredible women. They are very inspirational. And I know Mala's story very well. Such an incredible young woman who has touched the hearts of many, including mine. We always hear about men...blah, blah, blah... There are amazing women all over the world doing great things. I really like that you included the "common poor mother". My mother was a woman like that and I am very proud of her. Her wealth was her kind heart and her unconditional love for us.

  23. Thank you for the great post, Baili. I read it carefully and I admired all the efforts of the Pakistani women. Women in all over the world are strong and they never stop dreaming and trying for the best. Unfortunately the extremists are all over the world (in Europe, too). Take care, my friend. I send you a kiss.
