Without Nails Question Of The Day

Last  day  while  cooking  i  had  to  put  one  ingredient  immediately  in  the  dish  as  it  was  perfect   time    to  add  that  one.

The  Ingredient  was  in  the  small    plastic  shopping  bag    as  the  the  glass   bottle  in  which  i  used  to   keep  it  was  looking  dirty   so  i  decided  to  wash  it   first   and  then  put  the  ingredient  in.

Pure  like  me  "i  forgot"  and  now  i  had  to  open  the  knot  of  shopping  bag  immediately  to  add  the  ingredient  in  the  dish .

Worst  part  of  it   that  i  just  cut  away   my  nails  as  i  cut  them  once  in  a  week  .

I  can't  explain   how  hard  i  felt  to  untied  the  shopping  bag  and  meanwhile   the   Right  time  to  add   the  ingredient  passed  away .

My   slow  brain  told  me  later   that   i  could   have  use   the  kitchen   scissor   to  cut  the  shopping  bag     instead  of  lamenting  upon  the   cut  away  nails  .

Whenever  i    cut  my  nails   ( no  need  to  tell  that  i cut  them  quite  deep  so  they  can  take  time  to  grow  again)  i  miss  them  for  many  reasons   one  of  them  i   shared ,

IF   OUR   FINGERS   DON'T   HAVE   NAILS  ,  FOR

WHAT   REASON   YOU   WILL   MISS   THEM   MOST  ???

Yes  this  question  is  poking  my  head  since  yesterday ,I  would  love  to  know   your  answers  dear   friends!

Hope  all  is  going  wonderful  in  your  beautiful  worlds!

Take  care and  stay  Blessed!

God   Bless  You  All!!!

  1. Nails are really important, protecting our fingertips and helping delicate movements. Because of gardening works and other chores, I keep mine short... but always polished. :)
    Big hugs! xx

  2. I wish mine would grow strong, they break and flake easily. I think they could be long just for beauty, well manicured hands look so lovely.

  10. Got to thinking about how I use my nails, and I decided that nails are useful in every hour from ...AM to ~10 PM.

  11. That's a great question, baili. Most of us take our fingernails for granted! I'm like you and cut my nails short, and when I do that, I realize how much I would miss them for picking up small things, like threads or pins when I'm sewing, or other small items when I am making crafts. I feel more clumsy when my nails are short for these activities.

    1. so right dear Jenny!

the small things you mentioned here become so big when we don't have nails to pick them up for example many times my younger son laughs loudly when i try to pick up the fallen needle and can't then he picks it up for me :)

there is almost everything we take granted and don't have time to stop think , realize and be grateful for this

    1. Unlike you mine grow pretty fast but in past when i tried to keep them long they often broke and doctors say it is due to the lack of calcium

  14. I take magnesium in warm water in the evening before I go to bed. It helps me sleep, prevents leg cramps and shaky leg syndrome but really works to keep my nails tough. It really don't matter to me how long my nails are but my husband loves his back scratched! He really notices when I've cut and filed my nails down. It makes him sad, so I tell him it's just God's way of making sure he has time to scratch my back!

  16. My nails are too long and I'm about to give them a good file to make them shorter.
Miss them also when they are shorter there are so many things one goes to do as you did Baili and miss them. Long nails can get in the way.

  19. I totally dislike long nails - i love the look of them but after a long career doing medical transcirption - typing i always kept them short and i always did a lot of yard work so i didn't want to always have a lot of dirt under them i had to keep out...what a job. I would miss though, the very small things that need opening if I didn't have at least a little length to my nails - like the top of a box of salt that has a small lid you pull up. and a million other things we need them for.

  20. i enjoy looking the long nails of beautiful ladies like models and actresses or other around but personally either i don't like long nails as keep them clean is another time consuming job and i am busy first and then lazy after business
i agree there are millions other we need to be thankful for

  21. I love long nails, and mine grow very quickly...but when they are too long I begin to catch them up on things and then it is really painful, also it is difficult to type with long nails.
When I cut them, I miss them...and if I had none at all, I imagine it would be very difficult to pick things up!
Until now I hadn't given them a thought, but you have made me realize how important nails are...thank you! ☺☺

Have a great weekend, my dear friend!!

    Big Hugs xoxo

  23. I don't usually miss my nails when they are cut short because they have been cut because they tend to break and split but they have a mind of their own and for all my life they grow nicely when Spring comes and also again when Autumn comes. For some reason they just don't like Winter or Summer. Imagine that!

  24. Ha! What a fun questions...well, I should never use my nails for this, but I do use them to unseal the Mason jars...I've broken too many that way! A good scratch feels like heaven on a mosquito bite lol...mine grow way too fast though!

  25. What a fun and interesting question! This is something we don't think about but it's important. I keep my nails very short because I type very quickly on the keyboard and long nails get in the way. But when they're really short, I have trouble picking up small items and loosening knots and scratching an itch!

  26. We do use our nails for so many things! I have to keep mine very short because I am holding my tiny grandsons now. I don't want to scratch them! It is hard to untie a tight knot without them. xo Karen

  27. How sweet of you to cut your nails for your grandchildren dear Karen!

i saw moms who put scratches on the faces of their kids but don't cut their nails ,this is pitiful situation for such infants who completely depend on their mothers to treat them gently .

when it come to untie a knot ,this is my first reason to miss my nails

  28. I can never grow mine very long at all so I don't miss them I suppose! :)

  29. What an interesting question, Baili! I keep my nails short because they get in the way when they're too long. I once had a set of false nails put on. They looked gorgeous, and my husband loved them. But I spent so much time protecting them and worrying about them and they were expensive to keep up. I was so glad when I went back to my natural nails. They may be short, but they protect the ends of my fingers which I appreciate.
